Two post-doc positions (12 months each) at the Institute for Evolutionary Biology and Ecology │ University of Bonn
The workgroup of Prof. Blanke at the Institute for Evolutionary Biology and Ecology (IEZ) would like to strengthen its team with two interdisciplinary thinking applicants, ideally with a background in biomechanics, and/or material science and/or finite element simulation (focused on CFD) and with a doctoral degree either in the Biological Sciences, Engineering Sciences, or Computer Sciences.
The applicant will work within the BMBF funded project “FishFlow”, an initiative which aims to develop a bio-inspired filter system for small plastic particles (“microplastics”). The project is a joint collaboration between the Fraunhofer “UMSICHT” institute, an industrial partner, and the IEZ.
The position is paid according to the provisions of the collective agreement for the public service of the Länder (TV-L) within pay group 13 (100%). Experience levels are taken into account. Apart from a full CV (including own publications and contact details of 2 referees), applications should contain a letter of motivation (1 page) which also details your previous research experience.
